The Fourier Transform and Generalized Function Theory in Vibration Assessment of Vietnam Metro Tunnel under Concentrated Force Movement
Abstract
The article performs an assessment of metro tunnel vibrations caused by concentrated force movement using mathematical apparatus that includes the Fourier transform and generalized function theory. The founder of this theory is Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor of Russian University of Transport E. N. Kurbatsky. An example of solving a particular case of the problem for determining deflections, velocity, and acceleration of tunnel lining in a typical running tunnel during the movement of three cars in Vietnam is presented. The first metro line Bến Thành — Suối Tiên in Ho Chi Minh City has a maximum static gross load of wheel pair on rails equal to 12 tons. It was revealed that Vietnamese standards in this field are still developing and rely on international experience (Russia, Japan, China) as the line was launched only in 2024. Recommendations are given to foreign contractors participating in construction.
